Me:
I am a SAHM Catholic wife and mama with an amazing husband, and we have ten children, ranging in ages from 2-21 (2026). We homeschool, do crunchy things like bake sourdough, and try to live authentically and intentionally, with God at the center of our lives. I have a heart for the hearts of other mothers, and I try to offer encouragement and empathy with Truth at the foundation.
Both Mercy and Justice are also very important to me.
So is cake.
My Blog:
Motherhood is indeed the longest labor of our lives.
Many years ago, I started writing a manuscript based on this very idea, and it is because of the thoughts I began to express in that manuscript- words poured forth from the very depths of my soul- that I decided to begin a new blog.
By the grace of God, and for His glory, that manuscript eventually and finally became an actual book, The Longest Labor: Reflections on the Beautiful Vocation of Motherhood, which you can purchase on Amazon. (not an affiliate link)
I hope in this blog I can give you even a small fraction of what you need, inspired by the Lord's whisperings upon my heart, over two decades of experience as a mother, and my heart-felt desire to encourage you along in your journey. Let's face it, we ALL need a little help and A LOT of encouragement along the way! I don't have all the answers; I am still learning as I go. But if nothing else, I have an ear, a shoulder, an honest and often raw word to lend, and a deep desire to give you a smile or a little nudge along your own path.
I hope you will oblige me my attempts at making a small
difference down here in the trenches of motherhood and life. I also hope you will engage me in
conversation. I’d love to hear from you!
